"Ipaglaban mo nang puspusan ang pananampalataya. Panghawakan mong mabuti ang buhay na walang hanggan, dahil diyan ka tinawag ng Diyos nang ipahayag mo sa harap ng maraming saksi ang iyong pananalig kay Cristo." I Tim. 6:12

FACTS: INC beliefs and practices

1. The basis of our faith is the BIBLE. This is where God's words are written. We do not follow any creeds.

2. We believe in only true God, the Father. We do not believe in Trinity.

3. We do not believe that Jesus is God. We believe he is a human, but not an ordinary human. He is worshiped as what God commanded.

4. We believe that membership in the Church is necessary for salvation. We do not believe that salvation can be attained only by faith alone.

5. We believe that baptism by means of immersion is necessary for salvation. The church does not baptize babies.

6. We believe that Jesus established only one church. We do not believe that all churches belongs to God.

7. We believe that the true Church founded by Jesus Christ in the 1st century is the Iglesia ni Cristo (Church of Christ). It is the name of his church. It is the Church that he will save. Everyone is needed to enter Christ's church in order to be saved.

8. We believe that the Church of Christ in the 1st century had fallen to apostasy. It became as it is now known, the Roman Catholic Church.

9. We believe that Bro. Felix Manalo is a messenger of God in these last days. He is the instrument on restoring the true Church that was apostatized. We do not recognize him to be the founder of the church.

10. We believe that the fulfillment on where and when the Church re-emerged, in the Philippines (a country in the far east), in 1914 (beginning of the first world war).

11. We believe that being a member of the church is not enough to be saved. One should lead a new life, and should obey all the teachings of God until the end.

12. We believe in the Day of Judgment which will take place in the second coming of Christ. We also believe in resurrection.

13. We believe in the second death which is the Lake of fire.

14. We believe that attending worship services are our obligation as well as giving offerings.

15. We do not practice tithing. We give our offerings on our heart's desire.

16. We believe that it is the will of God for us to love one another as true brothers and sisters. We treat each other equal.

17. We believe that unity is God's teaching that should be practiced and there should be no division in the church. We practice unity in voting in elections.

18. We believe in the separation of Church and State. One should respect and observe the rules of the government.

19. We always practice discipline and orderliness.

20. We believe that God is against eating blood as food, live-in relationships, inter-faith marriage, homosexual unions, same-sex marriage, divorce, annulment, legal separation, extra-marital affairs, excessive drinking of liquors, and taking of drugs.

21. We do not believe in Catholic Saints and we do not keep images or statues of them in our homes and chapels.

22. We do not believe that Mary is the mother of God.

23. We do not believe in purgatory and we do not pray for the dead.

27. It is not true that we are discouraged by the ministers to read the bible. We do not practice private interpretation of the bible.

28. We believe that ministers are the ones who have the authority to preach the gospel through the guidance of the holy spirit. We members do not preach.

29. Missionary work is one of our duty.

  3. We are not against that Jesus and the Father are one. Because it doesn't mean that they are one God. The one God according to the Bible is the Father only.

  5. The Gospel of John was written to assert the divinity of Jesus, together with the Johannine letters. In John 10:30, Jesus himself clearly states His coequality with God. That is why the Jews responded, "We are not stoning you for any good work," they replied, "but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God." (John 10:33) Jesus further defends His answer in the succeeding verses. Further, we must remember that the New Testament has Jewish origins and Hellenistic backgrounds. John opens the Gospel with the Hymn on the Word, a parallel idea to the Jewish concept of God's wisdom and the Greek search for universal order and reason. John uses "I am..." quotes to remind Jesus' oneness with Moses' "YHWH "(I am he am; Exodus 3:14) John depicts Jesus with superiority, power and glory as of God. John also portrays Jesus as Good Shepherd (Ezekiel 34:15)and light (Psalm 27:1)- a metaphors for the Jewish God. The whole logic of the New Testament would be destroyed if we neglected His divinity. The omnipotence of Jesus, his High Priesthood, his preeminence among Angels, his eternal Sonship would be impossible to explain without accepting his divine and human natures.

  7. 1. Ministers lang pwede magnilay sa Bible? Sila lang ba may Holy Spirit

    2. This is the mystery of God. God the Father created everyone, yet everyone sins. And sabi sa book of Romans, the wage of sin is death. That's why Jesus, God's only Son, came down on earth and sacrificed his life, so that all our sins may be repayed. Take note, Jesus died human so he may conquer humanity's sins, and because Jesus is God he was able to pay for all those sins, it wasn't anything a human could do. This was the fulfillment of God's promise in the book of Genesis saying how the fruit of the woman will end the suffering and defeat the serpent. And remember this, there is nothing we can do to pay for our sins, our sins have already been payed, God asks for nothing more but for you than to follow Jesus. Why? Because God is a loving Father. He did not create us so that we may worship Him, he made us because He has so much love in Him and He wants to overpour that love into our lives... See this, the mystery of the Trinity isn't that God has 3 personas, what it means is that these 3 personas (God our Father, the Holy Spirit (God's presence that is in all of us, and Jesus (the bridge between us people who were sinners and God) ) are one. It was sin that separated us from God (the first sin was in the garden of Eden) and it was Jesus that brings us back to him. God bless!

    3. INC isn't the only church that doesn't pray with the rosary, believe in purgatory (since it's not in the Bible) or pray repetitive prayers. Just fyi for Catholics.

    4. Bawal pig or yung ganitong food? Check Colossians 2:16-17... we are made full in Christ, Christ is the fulfillment of the Old Testament. We don't have to do anything for Him, just love God and one another. The curse of the Old Testament has been broken. Move on please ^ - ^

    5. If you are looking for a loving church, look for Church So Blessed near GMA Kamuning, it's along Timog Ave.

No hate, just love. God bless!

  8. Basically same as the Watchtower/ Jehovah's Witneses Cult belief that Jesus was just a man... The JW's are a Masonic/ Luciferian Cult that reject the Christ every year by passing the body and blood of Christ rather than eating and drinking...

No church can give salvation only a personal relationship with God through Christ: faith and grace. Any church that teaches that ONLY its members are saved is an obvious cult and should be avoided.

    1. I have studied with JW's LDS and now am listening to INS.But soon as I hear... U have to be a member of this church to be saved, this is the true church the only church, something inside of me says NO this is not right. Am I right? Are they right? Who is right? I pray for an answer. The members of these churches are SO SURE and truly believe in their churchs. Why do they believe the way they do?

    2. Well I admire that you are seeking for an answer, however, it is you and you alone can find that answer by way of reading God's word and try understand them with faith that God will show you the clear teaching about God, Christ, Bible, Holy Spirit, Angels, Demons, Satan, Salvation, Sin, Man, Church and the Last Things.

  9. This is very similar to the Watchtower/ Jehovah's Witness cult beliefs that reject the new covonent and the Christ as nothing more than a perfect man.

Note that the JW's were founded by a Masonic Witch C.T. Russell from an illuminati family. He used Masonic images, taught pyramidology, died Halloween 1916 and is buried in a Masonic cemetery next to a Masonic pyramid that was built in his honor.

Any church that teaches only those church members can be saved is a cult. Jesus died for ALL mankind; all who believe in Christ and have faith in him can be saved. However if you don't believe Christ is God then you don't believe...

  10. Your members are hypocrites. I didn't know why I wanted to join your church years back but I'm glad I didn't. You keep on saying that only your church members can be saved but how clean are you? I know a handful of INC members who are active in church and recruit people to join but they sure aren't good people. Those people I know drink alcohol, enters in premarital intercourse while being in a relationship with a fellow INC member, curses at God, borrows money and doesn't pay, does not take good care of their children, goes to disco bars, etc. etc. You guys are good at keeping your scandals private but somehow, you leave nasty trails and people from outside your church can sense those. I firmly believe that it is by FAITH that we are saved because being a member of a Church WITHOUT FAITH is the same as a wolf in sheep's clothing. God is not an IDIOT you can fool. Stop insulting HIM.

I am from India. I want to join Iglesia Ni Cristo and also wants to become a member of INC. I contacted brethren Vasu (Tenali, India) and he asked me why do you wants to join. I answered him. Later he I asked him again to come over there and start my worship but he said you've to wait, God's will. My current situation is not so good. I'm from a poor family where I am the only breadwinner in my family. I'm not happy with brethren Vasu's decision. Could anyone help me.

  12. JESUS CHRIST IS GOD

    According to these Passages

    Philippians 2:5-8
    Titus 2:13
    Hebrews 1:8
    Isaiah 9:6
    1 John 5:20
    John 1:1

  13. I am so concerned. Wrong doctrine would cost you your eternity! wake up! Read your Bibles!

Philippians 2:5-6 You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had. Though he was GOD, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to.

John 1:18 No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.

  14. Juan 1:1 “JESUS IS GOD!”

We should have the Holy Spirit to understand this. God bless us all!
