"Ipaglaban mo nang puspusan ang pananampalataya. Panghawakan mong mabuti ang buhay na walang hanggan, dahil diyan ka tinawag ng Diyos nang ipahayag mo sa harap ng maraming saksi ang iyong pananalig kay Cristo." I Tim. 6:12

The Iglesia Ni Cristo “VOTE”

-->So many anti-INC, nonmembers, and also media attacks the INC and always having diff. negative opinions, comments and also some other accusations to the unity of the INC especially in terms of voting.

WHY DO THEY SAY THOSE?

SIMPLE ANSWER. They do not know about the UNITY what god commands in the TRUE CHURCH OF CHRIST. And most important, they were blinded by their OWN THOUGHTS about the practice in the INC.

No.1 “INC supports candidates who will also support them.”

Nonmembers always have this kind of idea, that the INC supports candidates for the exchange of something… One I can give example is about the INC holiday and the so called road renaming to Bro. Erano Manalo. Every thing or step what the politicians done to INC, still the very first thing they will think is that they want the vote of the INC for the coming election. (em I right?^_^) All I can say that they were so childish! Tsk. Tsk. They are not maturing! I am sure why they say it is because of ENVY, in what the INC achieves. They were threatened because nowadays it is being recognized that the attention of the government is on the INC and that their church were ignored and so making INC on the spotlight. Yes. Perfect! And PERIOD! Especially the most who make this a BIG DEAL are the Catholics. Especially Catholic defenders, who make articles on their blogs, sites and whatsoever kind of propaganda materials to oppose to the government on what they have decided. That, it is not a good thing to make a special holiday for the Iglesia ni Cristo and that they should not rename road to Bro. Erano Manalo. Huuuh, so many opinions and comments… WHY? Simple word that best describe. Again, because of the word ENVY. Clearly they want to debunk the INC, Tsk. Tsk. An evil thing. FIRST OF ALL, the INC DOESN’T CARE to that Holiday and that road renaming! Because we do not requested it from the government, and the government itself who decided it, not US. A BIG QUESTION FOR YOU, WHAT DO YOU THINK WILL INC GET FROM THOSE? Money? Power? Fame? What??? We know what CHURCH who wants it; even they already HAVE it ever since the SPANISH COLONIAL PERIOD! Haha (History Book please!)

No. 2 “INC always meddling in politics, that they choose their candidate and performs their solid vote.”

Mmmm. QUESTION: IN WHAT WAY the INC meddles in politics in the first place? Is it because it has its practice to vote IN ONE and that they are endorsing candidates means about meddling in politics? Tsk. Tsk. Poor mentality! The very FACT is, what church really meddles in politics??? One of thousands example, the passing of reproductive health bill… haha mmmmmmm… (People worldwide know what church really meddles in their respective government, it is evident and no one can ever deny it!)

No. 3 “INC members are just puppets of their church administration; they were dictated and forced. They takes away the freedom of their members instead of voting in their own conscience.”

Really? This was the kind of mind of many nonmembers because they cannot understand well, they were blinded what maybe church authorities statements about voting in OWN CONSCIENCE. First of all, no individual members of the INC have been DICTATED or FORCED to JOIN THE CHURCH. Converts baptized in the church through RECEIVING DOCTRINES and BIBLE LESSONS. THEREFORE, If they wholeheartedly believe on it and understands it, they will be BAPTIZE. In the CASE of the UNITY in the CHURCH, this called “BLOCK VOTING” is a right of suffrage. Meaning, members HAVE THE TRUST to the Church administration whether whom to VOTE. BECAUSE THE CHURCH HAVE THE DOCTRINES THAT IS WRITTEN IN THE BIBLE THAT IS, BE UNITED! (in all ASPECT) Second, IT WAS THE MEMBERS who will write the name and put in the ballot boxes therefore, it is not contrary to the LAW. Meaning, it is IN THE MEMBERS if they will FOLLOW AND OBEY DOCTRINES IN THE CHURCH AND COOPERATE TO THE CHURCH ADMINISTRATION, period! Furthermore, members were not DICTATED or FORCED whom to vote because it is in THEM or it is their DECISION if they will follow one of the teachings in the bible. It is like this; they were not forced and dictated to do good because it is IN THEM if they will do good/god’s will or to be bad/evil.

In addition, there are advantages to this practice, HOW? Ok, may I ask you:
WHO CAN BE INFLUENCED BY THE POLITICIANS WHOM TO VOTE? a regular voter or voter who participates in the called “BLOCK VOTING”?
WHO CAN BE PAID BY THE POLITICIANS WHOM TO VOTE? a regular voter or voter who participates in the called “BLOCK VOTING”?
WHO CAN DO CHEATINGS IN THE ELECTION WANTED BY THE POLITICIANS? a regular voter or voter who participates in the called “BLOCK VOTING”?

See? All these questions were answered, just recall the election happened in the past years! (The news in the television, radio and newspapers.) WHO DONE THESE? Is it the INC members or the NONMEMBERS? Tsk. Tsk.

No. 4 “INC is shown by its numerous chapels all over the land that were built after elections.”

A truth OR MYTH? Well, Ask yourself again, WHAT CHURCH REALLY ACCEPTS MONEY in all kinds? For EXAMPLE, came from CASINOS, GAMBLINGS and etc., came from Politicians? To “SUPPORT AND CONTINUE” their church “ACTIVITIES AND CHARITIES”? Tsk. Tsk. FYI: The construction of chapels in the INC CAME FROM THE CONTRIBUTION OF THE MEMBERS WORLDWIDE, and the results WERE EVIDENTLY SEEN! Even election is coming and comes to end, INC still constructing Hoses of worship not with the HELP or “DONATION” of the POLITICIANS who’s BEING voted/supported by the INC! Because the fact that the INC DOES NOT IN ANY WAY ACCEPTS MONEY FROM THEM!!

No. 5 “INC does not perform the Church-State separation.”

Nonmembers as we see again, accuse the INC that it does violate the law that is the Church-state separation. BUT, FYI: The INC’s principle is that both Church and State SHOULD BE SEPARATED AND THAT BOTH PARTIES SHOULD NOT MEDDLE IN EACH OTHERS AFFAIRS AND FUNCTIONS! In fact, for this reason the Church has never supported any attempt by some politicians to legislate the teaching of religion in public schools! In the same manner, the church abhorred the practice of some CATHOLIC prelates who siphon off public funds to support their “religious” activities.
THE CHURCH HAS TO MAKE A CHOICE IN ORDER TO PRESERVE UNITY (as god’s people) and at the same time, to fulfill the members right and responsibility of SUFFRAGE (as citizens). It is to make her choice to be ABLE TO CAST A UNIFIED VOTE AS ONE BODY (Col. 1:18; Rom. 12:4-5) and also TO FULFILL BIBLICAL PRECEPT THAT CHRISTIANS SHOULD MAINTAIN ONE MIND AND ONE JUDGMENT (I Cor. 1:10) The principle of Church-State separation was given its earliest definition when our Lord Jesus Christ said: “Give back to Caesar what belongs to Caesar and to God what belongs to God.” (Mk. 12:17) Therefore, the MEMBERS DO “GIVE BACK TO CAESAR WHAT BELONGS TO CAESAR” WHEN THEY PRACTICE THEIR RIGHT OF SUFFRAGE AS RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS (Voting is mandated by Law in a constitutional democracy.) And the same members do give “TO GOD WHAT BELONGS TO GOD” BY DOING GOD WANTS, THAT IS, TO MAINTAIN UNITY IN THE ENTIRE CHURCH WHICH TRANSLATES INTO VOTING AS ONE BODY.

No. 6 “INC lied in the numbers of their adherents that it only draws some 340,000+ last election voted for a party list group but claims to have millions of members.”

The Article Alagad ng Iglesia Ni Cristo is just one of those anti-INC articles that the authors were just having their "CONCLUSIONS" and "GUESSING" factor that they are trying to prove their own lies.

Think of this:
This was just a PORTION of the INC members around the world. This picture was taken in the church’s 95th anniversary. There were 14 venue in the Philippines and this was just ONE of the Venue.

So, this is the question on the alleged counted vote for the said party list who, as what they say, supported by the INC. QUESTION: ARE ALL INC MEMBER ADULTS (who are 18 and above) WERE ALL A REGISTERED VOTER ON THAT TIME? Because they say there are only 340,000+ who voted for that party list group, that the “Pasugo” (as what they say) CLAIMING millions of adherents. TRY TO THINK OF IT, BEFORE GIVING AN ACCUSATION!

No.7 "Other people say that the INC have millions of member but in the past elections, there were candidates that were supported by them did not win."

Yes. this was just one of the many questions used also to attack the block voting of the INC. They say: "how could the INC have many followers if the candidates supported by them did not win? " and etc. and etc. another attack is that, "INC had many mis-steps or wrong moves whom to vote in past elections".

THE ANSWER: first of all, THE INC DOESNT CARE IF WHAT WE SUPPORTED DID NOT WIN THE ELECTION. what is IMPORTANT to us is not for the POLITICIANS WE HAVE SUPPORTED IS TO WIN, because the thing is, WE DO THE UNITY WHAT GOD WANTS, WE DO GOD'S WILL, and WE DO OUR PART FROM BEING HIS CHOSEN PEOPLE... FYI: we do "VOTING AS ONE" only because that was one of the TEACHINGS WRITTEN IN THE BIBLE. IF... again, IF it was only a PRACTICE that was CREATED/FORMULATED by the Church Administration, i think the INC would not let this to continue, WHY? an example: Try to type "iglesia ni cristo block voting" in your search engine then press enter. Read and see every people's COMMENTS and OPINIONS about it, and you will discover 100% that almost of your read sites/blogs and whatsoever from nonmembers were all NEGATIVE and DESTRUCTIVE to the INC's teaching as voting as ONE! In short, people are all AGAINST to this, for they are accusing the church for they do not DEEPLY UNDERSTAND THE INC'S PURPOSE FOR HAVING ITS "block voting!"Another, ASK YOURSELF, why does MEMBERS of the Church doesnt complain for they also have a principle and stand about voting in OWN CONSCIENCE? huh? that most of the converts of the church were CATHOLICS and from other faith who are also AGAINST in this "block voting"?? SIMPLE ANSWER: They are not having complaints not because they were DICTATED OR FORCED to do it but because theyhave learn and UNDERSTAND (by receiving bible lessons) its IMPORTANCE, that voting as ONE, for the members were the components of the BODY (CHURCH), and that our lord Jesus Christ is the HEAD OF THE BODY (CHURCH), and compare/describe it to a ONE NEW MAN. For there was only ONE BRAIN/MIND our self, and our body parts doesnt fight or argue to each other. And so, the memebers were only FOLLOWING the TEACHINGS of god through Jesus Christ (Head) and the instrument for it to be done is through the CHurch Administration...

No. 8 "Politicians greets INC when there are (for ex. anniversary of the church, birthday of leaders and etc.) to have the INC vote!"

Hmm? Do politicians do these especially for the near election?
I dont think so.
How about other like Pres. Bush and Vice Pres. Dick Cheney (who greet the INC in its 90th anniversary), Pres. Bush and Prime Mins. Stephen Harper of Canada (95th anniversary). DO YOU THINK THEY GREETED THE INC BECAUSE THEY WANT THE VOTE FROM US?? Tsk. Tsk.

Reality:
INC in outside the philippines were just a very small portion of the population affiliated with the Church of Christ. So, WHY DO THEY WANT THE VOTE OF THE INC? Especially why not to the religions who have many members like Evangelicals, LDS, Catholic Church, Jehova's witnesses, seventh day adventist and etc??

Or this were just another MISCONCEPTION and an attack to the CHURCH OF CHRIST???
Tsk. Tsk.

No. 9 “That of the bloc voting of the INC is even not shown in the bible, which teaching is only from the church administration.”

Really? Hmmm. Let us see, SO THIS IS IT! WHY DOES THE INC PERFORMS BLOCK VOTING?

In the BIBLE, it is written that the TRUE CHURCH OF CHRIST that is OF GOD, must come up in unity!…

That it would carry out in perfect harmony and in the spirit of true Christian brotherhood, it is stated:
“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity!” Psalm133:1

The Apostles appealed for unity in the letters addressed to the Christians in their time, it is stated:
“I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment.” I Cor. 1:10

MEANING OF VOTE:
-Expression of judgment (Webster's Revised Unabridged Dictionary)

It is said in I Cor. 1: 10,
but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment.

Jesus Christ prayer:

“Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are.” I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me. John 17:11, 23

Members share with one faith, recognize only one God, the Father in heaven and do things in a united fashion, it is stated:
here is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.” Eph. 4:4-6

Apostle Paul said:

“May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Rom. 15:5-6

God almighty is glorified who possess that spirit of humility and selflessness because these would enable them to translate the unity of the Church in concrete reality, Apostle Paul wrote the ff:
then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling,Philip. 2:2-3,12

Apostle Paul vividly described the nature of the Church as an organization, being composed of individual members working in perfect unity.
“For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.” Rom. 12: 4-5

For God of love and peace will remain with the Church:
“Finally, brethren, farewell. Become complete. Be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.” II Cor. 13:11

NOTE: There were many bible passages that are written were not in this, these are just few of those. That proves that the Church should come up with UNITY!

FYI to all: at the first place, BLOCK VOTING OF THE INC is just ONE of MANY OTHER KINDS OF PRACTICING UNITY IN THE CHURCH. Attack the INC IF… again, IF THE ONLY KIND OF UNITY IN THE INC IS SAID ONLY IN TERMS OF BLOCK VOTING! Understood?!! But you cannot prove it! Why? EVIDENTLY THE CHURCH WAS SEEN UNITED IN ALL ASPECT!!

Another,

QUESTION: IS IT OUR FAULT IF WE WERE TO OBEY GOD’s COMMANMENTS?

Ash wednesday

What is the history of "Ash Wednesday" then?

-->
"Ashes in the History of the Church

Despite all these references in Scripture, the use of ashes in the Church left only a few records in the first millennium of Church history. Thomas Talley, an expert on the history of the liturgical year, says that the first clearly datable liturgy for Ash Wednesday that provides for sprinkling ashes is in the Romano-Germanic pontifical of 960.

Before that time, ashes had been used as a sign of admission to the Order of Penitents. As early as the sixth century, the Spanish Mozarabic rite calls for signing the forehead with ashes when admitting a gravely ill person to the Order of Penitents.

At the beginning of the 11th century, Abbot Aelfric notes that it was customary for all the faithful to take part in a ceremony on the Wednesday before Lent that included the imposition of ashes. Near the end of that century, Pope Urban II called for the general use of ashes on that day.

Only later did this day come to be called Ash Wednesday. At first, clerics and men had ashes sprinkled on their heads, while women had the sign of the cross made with ashes on their foreheads. Eventually, of course, the ritual used with women came to be used for men as well.

In the 12th century the rule developed that the ashes were to be created by burning palm branches from the previous Palm Sunday. Many parishes today invite parishioners to bring such palms to church before Lent begins and have a ritual burning of the palms after Mass." source: americancatholic.org

The introduction of the Article in americancatholic.org,

"Although Ash Wednesday is not a Catholic holy day of obligation, it is an important part of the season of Lent. The first clear evidence of Ash Wednesday is around 960, and in the 12th century people began using palm branches from the previous Palm Sunday for ashes."

Clearly then, Ash wednesday is just another
invented "tradition" in the Catholic Church who's claiming to be the church in the 1st century but the DOCTRINES CANNOT FIND ITS ROOTS IN THE 1st CENTURY CHURCH! Therefore, this another "TRADITION" in the Catholic Church said to be...

In answers.yahoo.com we can find the answer,

"Ash Wednesday was taken from Roman paganism, which took it from Vedic India. Ashes were called the seed of the fire god Agni, with power to forgive sins. Ashes were said to were a symbol for the purifying blood of Shiva, in which, one could bathe away sins. During Rome's New Year Feast of Atonement in March, people wore sackcloth and bathed in ashes to atone for their sins.

As the dying god of March, Mars took his worshippers sins with him into death. The carnival fell on dies martis, the Day of Mars. In English, this was Tuesday, because Mars was identified with the Saxon god Tiw. In French the carnival day was Mardi Gras, "Fat Tuesday," the day of merrymaking before Ash Wednesday."

May i remind again what was written in the bible?

“In particular, I want to urge you in the name of the lord, not to on living the aimless kind of life that pagans live. Intellectually they are in the dark, and they are estranged from the life of God, without knowledge because they have shut their hearts to it.” Eph. 4:17-18, Jerusalem bible

Warning: Dont be blinded with the CREATED traditions and PRACTICES!

What is Valentines day?

Meaning of Valentines Day nowadays.

"a day for the exchange of tokens of affection" source: thefreedictionary.com

History of Valentines Day

The history of Valentine's Day is obscure, and further clouded by various fanciful legends. The holiday's roots are in the ancient Roman festival of Lupercalia, a fertility celebration commemorated annually on February 15. Pope Gelasius I recast this pagan festival as a Christian feast day circa 496, declaring February 14 to be St. Valentine's Day." source: infoplease.com

"Church policy in dealing with the ancient religions often included a strategy of incorporating, rather than just banning, the "old-time religions". And it proved to be an effective strategy. Many contemporary church rituals and holiday traditions have components based on ancient pagan celebrations. "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em" was the church's policy. And thereby the church essentially co-opted the old pagan Festival and turned it into to a religious holiday celebrating the Christian virtues of love and marriage."

"...Interestingly the Emperor Claudius and the Christian (Catholic) Church found themselves on the same side on this argument for the Church was also opposed to the pagan festivities, but on grounds related to its lustfulness and especially the practice of the "lottery"..." source: goddessgift.com

"More than a Hallmark holiday, Valentine's Day, like Halloween, is rooted in pagan partying. "

"The annual pagan celebration, called Lupercalia, was held every year on February 15 and remained wildly popular well into the fifth century A.D.—at least 150 years after Constantine made Christianity the official religion of the Roman Empire." source: news.nationalgeographic.com

Who is Saint Valentine?

Numerous early Christian martyrs were named Valentine. The Valentines honored on February 14 are Valentine of Rome (Valentinus presb. m. Romae) and Valentine of Terni (Valentinus ep. Interamnensis m. Romae). Valentine of Rome was a priest in Rome who was martyred about AD 269 and was buried on the Via Flaminia. His relics are at the Church of Saint Praxed in Rome, and at Whitefriar Street Carmelite Church in Dublin, Ireland.
Valentine of Terni became bishop of Interamna (modern Terni) about AD 197 and is said to have been martyred during the persecution under Emperor Aurelian. He is also buried on the Via Flaminia, but in a different location than Valentine of Rome. His relics are at the Basilica of Saint Valentine in Terni (Basilica di San Valentino).

The Catholic Encyclopedia also speaks of a third saint named Valentine who was mentioned in early martyrologies under date of February 14. He was martyred in Africa with a number of companions, but nothing more is known about him.
No romantic elements are present in the original early medieval biographies of either of these martyrs. By the time a Saint Valentine became linked to romance in the fourteenth century, distinctions between Valentine of Rome and Valentine of Terni were utterly lost.
In the 1969 revision of the Roman Catholic Calendar of Saints, the feastday of Saint Valentine on February 14 was removed from the General Roman Calendar and relegated to particular (local or even national) calendars for the following reason: "Though the memorial of Saint Valentine is ancient, it is left to particular calendars, since, apart from his name, nothing is known of Saint Valentine except that he was buried on the Via Flaminia on February 14."] The feast day is still celebrated in Balzan (Malta) where relics of the saint are claimed to be found, and also throughout the world by Traditionalist Catholics who follow the older, pre-Vatican II calendar.

The Early Medieval acta of either Saint Valentine were expounded briefly in Legenda Aurea. According to that version, St Valentine was persecuted as a Christian and interrogated by Roman Emperor Claudius II in person. Claudius was impressed by Valentine and had a discussion with him, attempting to get him to convert to Roman paganism in order to save his life. Valentine refused and tried to convert Claudius to Christianity instead. Because of this, he was executed. Before his execution, he is reported to have performed a miracle by healing the blind daughter of his jailer.

Legenda Aurea still providing no connections whatsoever with sentimental love, appropriate lore has been embroidered in modern times to portray Valentine as a priest who refused an unattested law attributed to Roman Emperor Claudius II, allegedly ordering that young men remain single. The Emperor supposedly did this to grow his army, believing that married men did not make for good soldiers. The priest Valentine, however, secretly performed marriage ceremonies for young men. When Claudius found out about this, he had Valentine arrested and thrown in jail.
In an embellishment to The Golden Legend provided by American Greetings, Inc. to History.com and widely repeated, on the evening before Valentine was to be executed, he wrote the first "valentine" himself, addressed to a young girl variously identified as his beloved, as the jailer's daughter whom he had befriended and healed, or both. It was a note that read "From your Valentine." source: wikipedia

God's TEACHING
“In particular, I want to urge you in the name of the lord, not to on living the aimless kind of life that pagans live. Intellectually they are in the dark, and they are estranged from the life of God, without knowledge because they have shut their hearts to it.” Eph. 4:17-18, Jerusalem bible

This kind of practice/tradition is just ONE of the MANY traditions in the CATHOLIC CHURCH that was adopted from PAGANS.

INC debate SDA

This was the video of the debate between the Iglesia Ni Cristo and the Seventh day Adventist. Bro. Jose Ventilation represents the INC and Mr. Richard to the SDA.

When i watched the debate, i can say that it was so good and Mr. Richard is funny here how he answer questions coming from Bro. Ventilation. What his tactic is to answer and ask question in a "pilosopo" way. He will say "oh, its not our doctrine, you should ask if it is our doctrine!" to avoid to answer Bro. Ventilation's questions. See it for yourselves:

The debate is done peacefully and both can be called a great "sport!"...

For you, Who is the winner?

"Wise" man's contradictions

Frankly speaking, it is very convincing to join a church whose teacher/minister/priest and whatever it is called, can answer all of your questions concerning religion... Especially this church of Eliseo Soriano, called "Members church of god international" that attracts many because of Eli's style of preaching and answering questions coming from the guests.

BUT, it is a STRANGE THING that whatever you ask to him, it can be answered especially nonsense questions that is not such related to the religion.^_^ RIGHT? Lets say, YES. Questions were answered by him, but the question is, are his ANSWERS right? okay. that's the BIG THING! If his answers are all correct... And because Eli answered questions from the guets, they also claim that the answers were all straight or directly from the BIBLE. Hmmm. Let us see!

Another... Who is he to claim that he was the wise man and that he able to answer any questions using the bible? And the kind of answering questions and preaching of him is like he is brighter than Einstein and that he cannot have any mistakes? Tsk. Tsk. How could he? That the truth is, he cannot even finished his highschool and the funny thing is, "With his parents eagerly convincing him to go to school, he finally entered at the age of eight, but he skipped his classes and escaped his teachers." (esoriano.wordpress.com) [haha...]

Okay...

And because of how brave he is when answering any questions... He does not noticing the he makes many CONTRADICTION.

Example? THIS:

And many other...

I think there are 100+ contradiction made by Eli soriano itself.
Just click here: EliVSsoriano, and ElixVsxEliseo

QUESTION: Can say that answers came DIRECTLY on the BIBLE? or came from the OPINION and Eliseo Soriano itself? Tsk.Tsk.

A catholic defender that contradicts himself

-->
On a catholic defender blog, he tackles my post about the Rosary. He said that I am quoting articles from other faith that contradicts my belief. It is a childish thing to think that because I quote an article from other faith, means that I am supporting also their whole beliefs. RIGHT? 1 is not equals to 100, remember that Mr. Catholicdefender2000!

In his post entitled “An Iglesia Ni Cristo member quoting anti-catholic articles which believes Christ is God ”
He said these:

”…."Read me" wanted to make a score thinking that by posting such an article that attacks the Catholic Church would advance the Iglesia ni Cristo's teachings against the Catholic Church. The said anti-Catholic article is about the Holy Rosary which is a devotional prayer for Catholics to the Mother of the Lord.

As I was about to post a comment, at the end of his post, I found out that he provided his/her source which he took from godsonlygospel.com. Checking his source, the site is just one of the many anti-Catholic protestant owned sites which also espouses the belief that the Lord Jesus Christ is God (a teaching they so dispised). Iif I'm "readme" I'd rather shy away or stop quoting from some sources that contradicts my belief as a devout Iglesia ni Cristo.

If "read me" thought that by posting an anti-Catholic article would advance his cult's claims against the Catholic Church, I am sorry but he quoted from a wrong source from a wrong reason.
What a shame!”
FYI: I quote the article about the Holy Rosary from godsonlygospel.com not because, like what ive said, I ALSO SUPPORTING THEIR WHOLE BELIEFS! Again, what ive quoted was an article exposing the truth behind the Rosary. Is it wrong? To say the TRUTH that the rosary is really came from PAGAN PRACTICES?

So, if you say that it is not from pagan, so tell me, show the PROOF about the HISTORY of USING ROSARY. Okay?^_^

Lets go back to the topic, why do I said that he contradicts himself? Because HE, HIMSELF also QUOTES or show LINKS FROM OTHER FAITH!!!

In his other post entitled “The secret behind Felix Manalo’s Ordination”:

“This topic was never taught or discussed in any of Iglesia ni Cristo® forums, meetings or "Pamamahayag". What's behind the secret of his ordination? Try to discover it by reading Ms. Emily Jordan's exposition.

Note: Ms. Emily Jordan is not a Catholic. However her expository research are comprehensive and professionally done.
God bless Ms. Emily..”
And the funny part is, what is the Emilyjordan blog is all about anti-INC articles. Why? Very simple. The author of the blog is a member of MCGI of Eli Soriano (if Im not mistaken)…
And now, what he had done? Confessing that the link was not of a catholic member! And you will notice that he write also a note, FOR WHAT? So that he will not be attacked (maybe) coming from me or from others. Tsk. Tsk.

Let us try to edit one of his post (the post that says that I am quoting articles from other faith),

"....I came across a very interesting rhetorical anti-INC article which was posted by a member of the apostatized Church, the Roman Catholic Church. The owner's name was hidden by the penname "Catholic Defender" whose blog is found at http://catholicdefender2000.blogspot.com/2010/01/secret-behind-felix-manalos-ordination.html

"Catholic defender2000" wanted to make a score thinking that by posting such an article that attacks the Iglesia Ni Cristo would advance the Catholic Church’s teachings against the Iglesia Ni Cristo. The said anti-INC article is about they say “Secret on the ordination of Bro. Felix Manalo” that is a big imagination of the writer.

As I was about to post a comment, at the end of his post, I found out that he provided his/her source which he took from other faith. Checking his source, the blog is just one of the many anti-INC owned. If I'm "Catholicdefender2000" I'd rather shy away or stop quoting from some sources that contradicts also my belief as a devout Catholic.

If "Catholicdefender2000" thought that by posting an anti-INC article would advance his cult's claims against the Iglesia Ni Cristo, I am sorry but he quoted from a wrong source from a wrong reason.
What a shame!.....”

Perfect!^_^
Yes Catholicdefender2000, you are right, WHAT A SHAME!

Jesus is the true God?

I john 5:20

"And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
"

What does I john 5:20 mean? Is Jesus the one who is being referred to as"the true God and eternal life"?

“3. 5.20-21. Knowing the true God; avoiding idolatry. The Greek of 5:20 has only the true (one) and reads literally: ‘we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding’ so that we know the true (one) and we are in true (one)’, in his Son Jesus Christ. ‘The (one) is the true God and eternal life’. It is clear from this that ‘the true (one)’ is God throughout. Christ is his Son. In the final sentence this (one) most naturally refers still to God, not to Christ, as some have suggested.” Loader, William. The Johannine Epistles. London: Epworth Press, 1992.

Other bible translation says:

"We know that Jesus Christ the Son of God has come and has shown us the true God. And because of Jesus, we now belong to the true God who gives eternal life." Contemporary english version

It is God the FATHER, and not CHRIST is the TRUE GOD that is being referred in I john 5:20. It also agree to what our Lord Jesus Christ taught, that the FATHER is the ONLY ONE true God:
"And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God,
and Jesus Christ whom You have sent." John 17:3

II peter 1:1

"Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:"

What does again II Peter 1:1 mean? Does this verse mean that the God and our savior is Christ?

Lets see:

“Next, in the words, of our God and [our] Saviour Jesus Christ, I would interpret, as in Titus ii, 13 [where see note] our God of the Father and [our] Saviour Jesus Christ of the Son. Here, there is the additional consideration in favour of this view, that the Teo are distinguished more plainly in the next verse.” The New Testament for English Readers, p. 1671
“… Peter did not claim that Jesus of Nazareth was God. He ‘was a man, commended to you by God by the miracles and portents and signs that God worked through him when he was among you’…” Armstrong, Karen. A history of God. Great Britain: Mandarin Paperbacks, 1994

I Timothy 3:16

"and, confessedly, great is the secret of piety -- God was manifested in flesh, declared righteous in spirit, seen by messengers, preached among nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory!"

How about I timothy 3:16? Is it God that was manifested in the flesh?

Lets see:

“By the pronoun He with which the hymn opens, is to be understood, Christ. The Greek reading which underlies the AV translation ‘GOD’ is almost certainly wrong…” Bruce, F.F., General edition: The International Bible Commentary. Grand Rapids, Michigan: Zondervan Publishing House, 1986.
“3:16 The earliest Greek texts have “He” rather than “GOD”. The six phrases which follow appear to be a quotation from an early Christian hymn…” Criswell, W.A., Ph.D., ed. The Criswell Study bible, Nashville: Thomas Nelson, Pubs., 1979

“… The best manuscripts read, ‘Who’, referring to Christ. He was justified by the way the Spirit worked in him.” The Westminister Study Edition of the holy Bible. Philadelphia: The westminister press, 1968

“The context makes it plain that Paul is referring to Christ when he says: He who was manifest in the flesh (ASV)… All the leading words occur elsewhere in Paul’s writings. Flesh. Paul frequently emphasizes the humanity of Christ by the use of his word (Rom. 1:3; 8:3; 9:5, Eph 5:15, Col. 1:22, Heb. 5:7; 10:20)…” Pfeiffer, Charles F. and Everette F. Harrison, eds. The Wycliffe Bible Commentary. Chicago: Moody Press, 1990

Most bible translations and versions in the said verse use "He" instead of "God":

Beyond all question, the mystery of godliness is great: He appeared in a body, was vindicated by the Spirit, was seen by angels, was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world,
was taken up in glory. NIV

By common confession, great is the mystery of godliness: He who was revealed in the flesh, Was vindicated in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Proclaimed among the nations, Believed on in the world, Taken up in glory. NASB

Who said that Jesus Christ is God?

Is Christ GOD?

These are the Authoritative testimonies that gives us information we need to prove that Jesus Christ is not GOD!

“The New testament speaks simply of ‘God’, the same God who was at work in the Old Testament: the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob. The New Testament writers do not even ordinarily speak of Jesus as ‘God’…” (McBrien, Richard P. Catholicism, Third Edition. Great Britain: Goffrey Chapman, 1951.)
“Jesus is never called God in the Synoptic Gospels, and a passage like Mt. 10:18 would seem to preclude the possibility that Jesus used the title of himself. Even the fourth Gospel never portrays Jesus as saying specifically that he is God. The sermons which Acts attributes to the beginning of the Christian mission do not speak of Jesus as God. Thus, there is no reason to think that Jesus was called God in the earliest layers of New Testament tradition. This negative conclusion is substantiated by the fact that Paul does not use the title in any epistle written before 58…” (Brown, Raymond E., S.S. Jesus: God and Man. Milwaukee: The Bruce Publishing Company, n. d.)
“The NT nowhere says tout court that Christ is God…” (Richardson, Allan. An introduction to the theology of the New Testament. London, Great Britain: SLM press ltd., 1958.)
“The New Testament says that Jesus was the Word of God, it says that God was in Christ, it says, that Jesus is the Son of God; but it does not say that Jesus was God…” (Robinson, John A.T. Honest to God. London:SCM press ltd., 1963.)
“Paul never specifically states that Jesus was God, though he told his converts in Colossae that Jesus was the ‘image’ or ‘ikon’ of the invisible God.” (Wilson, A.N. Jesus: A life. New York: W.W. Norton & Company, Inc., 1992.)
“It is evident, further, from the fact that Paul avoids calling Christ ‘God’ that he has no idea of equating them.” (Kummel, Georg W. The theology of the New Testament, trans. John E. Steely. New York & Nashville: Abingdon Press, 1973)
“… But on the other hand Jesus is scarcely ever directly called ‘God’ and never by Paul himself…” (Kung, Hans. On being a Christian. New York: Image book, 1996)
“… Peter did not claim that Jesus of Nazareth was God. He ‘was a man, commended to you by God by the miracles and portents and signs that God worked through him when he was among you’…” (Armstrong, Karen. A history of God. Great Britain: Mandarin Paperbacks, 1994)
“… Jesus never claims to be God,…” (Robinson, John A.T. Honest to God. London:SCM press ltd., 1963)
“We read the Gospels and the book of Acts in the light of our understanding of the pre-existence and the incarnation of God the Son. However, the early Christian had no such concepts in their minds. They had no doctrine of the deity of Christ…” (Ladd, George E. The young Church. London: Lutterworth Press; New York & Nashville: Abingdon Press ltd.,)
