Eliseo Soriano, guilty sa kasong libelo

Hindi na nakakapagtaka kung guilty si Mr. Soriano sa libel case na isinampa sa kanya ng Iglesia ni Cristo dahil sa mismong "religious program" ay nagbibitaw siya ng di magagandang salita, at dati ay nagmumura pa. 

Sasabihin naman ng ADD members, anong mura?

Mura ba yung "tar#ntado", "gag#", "bob#", "t#nga", "put#ng in#" etc???

Balik kayo sa gradeschool, tanong nyo sa teachers nyo kung isa bang napakaakmang gawain na magsalita ng ganyan ang isang "PREACHER" sa "TELEBISYON" sa kaniyang "RELIGIOUS PROGRAMS"? Pakitanong din kung mabuting mabuti na marinig ito ng mga bata na di sinasadyang mapanood ang kanyang programa.



Nakakatawa na naman ang reaksyon ng ADD members kapag guilty ang kanilang idol, sasabihin nila, Naku eh maimpluwensya yang Iglesia ni Manalo bahala na ang Diyos sa inyo" at kapag naman yung idol nila ang nanalo sa kaso, ang sasabihin naman eh, "wala na palang impluewensya ang Iglesia ni Manalo, mahina pala kayo eh!"

Ha? Ano ba talaga? Maimpluwensya o hindi? Bakit kasi hindi nalang tanggapin na GUILTY ang idol nyong si Mr. Eli Soriano? Mahirap ba tanggapin ang katotohanan?

Inosente nga ba talaga? Eh nasan ba siya? Bakit wala siya sa Pilipinas para harapin ang patong-patong na kaso niya? Akala ko ba hindi DUWAG ang PUNO ng ADD?

Buti pa si Ka FYM, kahit may nagbanta sa buhay niya na mga HUKBALAHAP, kahit na inuusig siya dati ng mga Hapon, at kahit may kinasangkutan siyang kasong LIBELO kay Ka Rosita Trillanes, HINDI SIYA NADUWAG, hinarap niya yon, HINDI SIYA NAGTAGO. Hindi tulad ng mga nagpapakilalang LEADER dyan na tagu ng tago sa ibang bansa, ni hindi mapatunayan na INOSENTE talaga siya.

Kung sinasabi niyang kakampi niya ang Diyos, bakit siya natatakot? Takot sa sariling karma?

Manila, Philippines - A Quezon City court ordered Eliseo Soriano, leader of the “Dating Daan’’ religious group, to pay a fine of P6,000 each for two counts of libel and moral damages worth P100,000 to Iglesia Ni Cristo spiritual sect for his alleged malicious and libelous remarks and attacks on the complainant on national television 10 years ago.

In a 19-page decision, Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 92 Judge Eleuterio Bathan said the elements of libel were established in the case after Soriano, also known as Brother Eli, announced on television Southern Broadcasting Network Channel 21 during the live program of “Ang Dating Daan’’ the words “Iglesiang Pumapatay ng Kapwa Tao, Panloloko, Terrorist, Manunuklaw, Tiktik, May Armory Arsenal Gunmen and Mamamatay Tao” between 8pm and 1am on April 25, 2003 and the replay on April 27 on the same timeslot.

He noted there was no question Soriano’s broadcasts were made public and imputed to the INC that caused dishonor, discredit and contempt to the accused’s rival religious group.

Emilio Magdaraog, the person responsible for siring Ang Dating Daan program, claimed the unsavory broadcasts of Soriano were made as a defense to an earlier INC attack on him which labeled the defendant as “mangongotong, manghuhuthot, mandarambong, hidhid, ganid, and mangungulimbat.”

He said the attacks of the INC on the Ang Dating Daan head minister which started on June 11, 2001 prompted them to retaliate.

However, Bathan said self-defense is only applicable in crimes against persons as one of the justifying circumstances under article 11 of the Revised Penal Code.

Granting that self-defense is applicable in this case, Bathan said retaliation has no merit, the accused should have filed the necessary criminal and civil case against Soriano’s detractors to protect his interest.

It was also clear in the case that Soriano, after having submitted his waiver of presence on August 9, 2005, admitted he was the same person mentioned in the information of the case.

During the August 9, 2005 arraignment, the court entered the not guilty plea after the accused refused to plead."
