"Ipaglaban mo nang puspusan ang pananampalataya. Panghawakan mong mabuti ang buhay na walang hanggan, dahil diyan ka tinawag ng Diyos nang ipahayag mo sa harap ng maraming saksi ang iyong pananalig kay Cristo." I Tim. 6:12

Congratulations to Bb. Pilipinas-Universe 2013 winner Sis. Ariella Arida

Arida is a 24-year-old Chemistry graduate of University of the Philippines Los BaƱos from Alaminos, Laguna. A sportswoman who loves the outdoors, especially the beach, Arida was also judged best in swimsuit in the 50th anniversary of the country’s popular beauty pageant. Prior to winning the title, Ara competed at Miss Philippines Earth 2012 and was a former Mutya ng Laguna titleholder. Additionally, Ariella is a member of Iglesia Ni Cristo, a highly recognized church in the Philippines.

Miss Philippines Earth 2012

Arida participated in the 2012 edition of Miss Philippines Earth, where she was unplaced.

Binibining Pilipinas 2013

Arida won Miss Universe-Philippines and Best in Swimsuit and crowned by Miss Universe 2012 1st Runner-up, Janine Tugonon at a pageant held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on April 14, 2013. She was crowned along with Binibining Pilipinas-International, Bea Rose Santiago; Binibining Pilipinas-Tourism, Joanna Cindy Miranda; Miss Supranational Philippines, Mutya Johanna Datul; and Runner-up or Virreina, Pia Wurtzbach.

Miss Universe 2013

Twenty-four year old Ariella Arida from Laguna will represent the country at the 2013 Miss Universe pageant after she was named Miss Universe Philippines 2013 during the Binibining Pilipinas coronation night at the Araneta Coliseum on April 14, 2013.

Her answer was, "One lesson in life that we, women, can teach men is being sensitive. Because we all know that men are more logical when it comes to decision. They usually are more rational, straight forward. Unlike we, women, we use our heart and we tend to get emotional in some of our decisions. For me, sensitivity is something that we can teach men."

Yes. I just found out recently that Ms. Ariella Arida is an Iglesia ni Cristo member, from the locale of Alaminos, District of Laguna, a CBI member at U.P Los Banos and a choir member.

Let us support Sis. Ariella Arida!

(I know jealous nonmembers heard this news and i will not be surprised that they will attack the Iglesia ni Cristo using our kapatid especially if she will not make it to the Miss Universe 2013 top 10 or top 5. Let us see what dirty things they will soon do.)

  3. I am not a fan of beauty pageants but I worry that Ariella Arida may bring a big embarrassment to our beloved country. Why? I fear the question and answer portion. Iglesia Ni Cristo cult members are close-minded. On their eyes, only INC members of the Manalo family are worthy enough of being saved and go to heaven. All of us who are non-INC members are destined to burn in hell.

    1. Hello po Sheena,

First, let us define the term close-minded

close-mind·ed (klsmndd, klz-) or closed-mind·ed (klzd-)
adj.Intolerant of the beliefs and opinions of others; stubbornly unreceptive to new ideas.

When a member of INC tries to invite a non-INC to our Bible Expositions and the like, some immediately declined it with a closing statement, "ipinanganak akong Katoliko, mamatay akong Katoliko" or "Saradong-Katoliko, di lang nakasara, nakakadena pa". So, based on the above-given definition, who do you think is "close-minded" in this case?

The fact that (I myself is the best example) most of the members of INC came from different denominations and race, needless to say that we are TOTALLY AWARE OF ANYTHING YOU BELIEVE IN. Name it. I was born as a Catholic, eventually became a Born-Again (Alliance), studied the doctrines of SDA and JW. So do you consider me a close-minded person? Why is it that some people are afraid to listen to INC? Do you think it is more of the fear to learn the truth? I don't think so. Their hesitations to listen to INC is either because of pride or simply based more on "negative comments" he heard from those people who talked lies about INC, as if these detractors know better than we do. Among the few lies/accusations they propagate are the following:

      1. That there is a tithe-giving (10% of your income) in INC, which is a lie.
      2. That we do not value our Lord Jesus Christ because He is "just" (not our word) a man in nature, which is a lie.
      3. That we support a politician expecting a return, which is a lie.
      4. That once you miss a single worship service, then you have to pay the visiting deacon/deaconess inquiring the cause of your absence, which is a lie.
      5. That you are obliged to offer a very specific amount, which is a lie.
      6. That it is the Church which is the Savior and not our Lord Jesus Christ, which is a lie.
      7. That we hate those who are non-INC, which is a lie.

      .....and, a lot more!

I am very pleased to know that you were not a member of the panel of judges during the crowning moment of our Sister Ariella Arida, otherwise, she wasn't be able to seize that crown because of your discrimination against us. Besides, isn't that a direct insult to the organizers? As if in indirect way you accused them of not screening properly their aspirants. But am glad that they were open-minded enough to consider/respect the beliefs (whatsoever) of their candidates possessed.

I had the same feeling/reaction before when I was still not a member of INC. It really hurts when INC tells us that one is not saved once he is outside the Church. But what can we do? We only share whatever the Bible tells us so. So if you are against this truth, you are not against us but to Christ and to God for the Bible clearly teaches us that Christ will only save His body, hence, the Church called after His name, the Church of Christ.

    2. Wow, this Sheena Marie Bautista is either a stupid plagiarist or the dumb owner of this blog: http://malayangkomunikasyon.blogspot.com/. Her comment is a direct verbatim pick up from that blogsite LOL.

    4. Sorry but we are not a cult...I suggest you research and you'll know better... and sure enough she did not bring shame to the country. Im surprised how you say we are closed minded but here you are being closed minded judging her of bringing shame and embarrassment to the country just because she is INC? Now who is closed minded ^_^

  4. What is the connection of the Q and A portion in Miss Universe with the Iglesia ni Cristo? Unless the Question is related to religion, i can understand you being worried. Are you not being judgmental to her? Ask yourself.

Iglesia ni Cristo members (i dont know who are those INC cult members) are not close minded. its only your opinion about us. What we believe is that the TRUE CHURCH that was built by Christ is the one he will save, based on the bible. And we believe that the TRUE CHURCH mentioned in the bible is the Iglesia ni Cristo.

Not all INC members will be saved, only those who endured until the end. Those who did not change their life being good and doing commandments of God are not TRUE members of the church. Those who are not part of the fold or the TRUE CHURCH OF CHRIST have the responsibility to find it and join it to attain salvation.

Youre wrong, non INC members are not "destined" to burn in hell because they still have time. You have a very wrong impression about the church. I hope you can attend our worship services even just once to see it for yourself if your thoughts or whatsoever about the church were TRUE.

I pray for your mind to be cleared of wrong thoughts.
