UNITY Games 2011
Invitation before the event:
"The 2011 Unity Games is the first multi-sport and multi-district event and largest athletic competition to be hosted for members of the Iglesia ni Cristo. This multi-district and multi-sport event was the brainchild of the Church’s Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, who conceived of it as a way of bringing together members of the Church in friendly athletic competition. While sports can develop discipline, responsibility, teamwork, and perseverance, the Unity Games aims even higher: the fostering of the biblical teachings of brotherly love and unity among members of the Church of Christ.
The inaugural Unity Games will be held on May 21 and 28 in the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex in Manila, with the athletes coming from the five ecclesiastical districts in Metro Manila, Philippines: Metro Manila North (yellow colored uniforms), Metro Manila South (white colored uniforms), Metro Manila East (green colored uniforms), Metro Manila West (blue colored uniforms), and Metro Manila Central (red colored uniforms).
The events include badminton, basketball, bowling, chess, table tennis, tennis, track and field, volleyball, and a 3K Fun Run. The opening ceremonies begin at the Rizal Stadium on May 21 at 7:00am, with the Parade of Athletes and a special program for your entertainment.
Be there early and don’t forget to wear your district's color and support your athletes! "
Family Day / PNK DAY
Family Day held at the NEW ERA University Campus: Brethren from Metro Manila Central come together in sports, games, job fair, mega trade fair and entertainment for the whole family.
I attended this occasion because we need to guide the PNK children, but i decided to go home 12:00 noon because i feel uncomfortable because its too hot there, the crowd is big and i think they can go with their own because they have their parents. But its fun, if only i was younger i will enjoy it very much.^^
