July 27 is "Iglesia ni Cristo DAY" in the Philippines

Republic Act no. 9645

AN ACT DECLARING JULY 27 OF EVERY YEAR AS A SPECIAL NATIONAL WORKING HOLIDAY IN RECOGNITION OF THE FOUNDING ANNIVERSARY OF THE IGLESIA NI CRISTO IN THE PHILIPPINES, AMENDING FOR THE PURPOSE SECTION 26, CHAPTER 7 OF EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 292, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE ADMINISTRATIVE CODE OF 1987, AS AMENDED...

Here is the copy of the letter declaring every July 27 is a special non working holiday in the Philippines,

Behind the glorious achievements of the Iglesia ni Cristo from its humble beginnings, still in its early years and up to now experience persecution from nonmembers. Even this holiday, given by the government in recognizing the INC in its incredible and being phenomenal, they still malign these things. From the very fact that the INC do not, in any way, REQUEST this in the government. Even there's no holiday and etc about the INC, it will still exist for the need of the lost souls.

This, and also the "renaming of roads to Bro. Erano Manalo" were the favorite topics of these nonmembers as they malign the REASONS of the politicians who suggests and whatsoever about such things. This is just one of hundreds article about those, from Mr. Quirini Sugon Jr. author of the blog Monk's Hobbit, here is his article.Government should not force Catholics to observe Muslim and Iglesia ni Cristo holidays. Please click the link.

His point:

Read Me,
To declare an INC holiday as a non-working holiday is to force Catholics to observe the holiday.

We argued about this, and at last, i said...

Quirino M. Sugon Jr,

may i ask something, is it a BIG DEAL to our catholic friends specially you to do that?
do Catholics will do something just to observe that non-working holiday?
Do they sacrifice something and everything huh? why is it for you take it a so BIG DEAL?

Then, he didnt replied. All things in the INC were always criticize by other faiths, why???

ONE WORD.

JEALOUS!

There are many feasts and holidays in the Catholic CHurch yet we didnt complain about it, we are not so rude (like them) to comment and comment that the INC does not deserve it!

By the way, do the INC deserve it?

Simple answer. YES! Why?

It came from in 3rd world country, and most members were poor.
BUT,

in less than 40years it came from atleast 80 countries and territories around the world.

Big chapels can be seen around the nation.

You can also see chapels around the world amounting millions and millions.

The members increase so fast, becoming the biggest INDEPENDENT church in ASIA.

The leader's efforts in molding not just the its members but also to the citizens in the country.

It has many public works helping poor families not just its members but also nonmembers.

How about the government?

“Likewise, the President wishes to thank the INC for the very active and significant roles its leaders and members have always played not only in the spiritual and moral formation of our people over the past several decades, but in nation-building as well,” the Palace said.

And the important thing is, we did not in any way, REQUEST IT FROM THE GOVERNMENT AND COMMAND THEM FOR DOING SUCH, because even the government doesnt give those recognizes, the INC will STILL EXIST!

So, why is it so hard for you to accept that the INC is growing and the from its humble beginnings it has been persecuted a lot by the nonmembers, but now, it is recognizing not just officials from the Philippines but also in other countries!

Iglesia ni Cristo 96th anniversary

THE brethrens of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) all over the world commemorated the 96th founding anniversary of the Church in the Philippines Tuesday.

INC ecclesiastical districts celebrated the event with Grand Evangelical Missions, Bible expositions, programs commemorating the growth of the church and its social contribution in the Philippines and the world.

In Pampanga, evangelical missions were held simultaneously in Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center and in locales of Arayat, San Fernando and Angeles. The brethren invited non-church members to attend and witness how far the church had gone.

In a span of 96 years from July 27, 1914 to July 27, 2010, the INC has reached more than 100 countries and territories. Recently, it has opened two other ecclesiastical districts in Canada and main office in Europe.

With this, local officials from the provincial down to the municipal level sent greetings to all the brethren in the Ecclesiastical District of Pampanga -- the eldest district of the Church on the occasion of its 96th founding Anniversary.

It can be recalled that a handful of faithful brethren began to form a small group of Church followers in 1918. Subsequently in 1924, they have successfully established the first district of the Church in Pampanga through the leadership of Brother Felix Ysagun Manalo, God’s messenger in these last days. Despite the innumerable odds and trying difficulties, they bravely continued their mission to propagate the words of God.

The Church ministers led by then Brother Felix, Brother EraƱo G. Manalo and now Brother Eduardo V. Manalo have tirelessly fulfilled the divine mission of propagating the gospel and administering the Church through unselfish effort and dedication.

The Iglesia Ni Cristo in Pampanga reached the glorious stature under the leadership of Brother Eduardo and its District Supervising Minister Agrielio De Lazo, resident ministers, Church workers and officers.

With all the remarkable achievements of INC, the brethren in the locale of Candaba led by Bro. Jess Felipe believed that the brethren have all the reasons to rejoice its 96th founding anniversary.

Meanwhile, it can also be noted that by virtue of Republic Act 9645 signed into law by former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo on June 12, 2009, “July 27 of every year is hereby declared as a special national working holiday in commemoration of the founding anniversary of the INC in the Philippines.

The said law recognizes INC’s exemplary feat of leading its members towards spiritual enlightenment and good citizenry.

Arroyo declared July 27 of every year as “Iglesia Ni Cristo Day” to enable millions of INC followers in the Philippines and in more than 100 countries and territories around the globe to observe the occasion with fitting solemnity.

Another 4 short years to come and
its Iglesia ni Cristo centennial ANNIVERSARY!!

These success became possible because of the joined efforts of the all brethren. So, is these can be called being BRAINWASHED as the members follows what God wants? Do we do all these just because we were "brainwashed" by the ministers or because we OBEY and FOLLOW God's commandments by the leadership of the Church Administration? Tsk. Tsk.

We share the Gospel.

We share the TRUTH.

We share our FAITH.

FOR THE GLORY OF GOD!

All these were called UNITY!!
