"Ipaglaban mo nang puspusan ang pananampalataya. Panghawakan mong mabuti ang buhay na walang hanggan, dahil diyan ka tinawag ng Diyos nang ipahayag mo sa harap ng maraming saksi ang iyong pananalig kay Cristo." I Tim. 6:12

Are we anti-Catholics and anti-Protestants?

Many says the Iglesia ni Cristo loves to attack other religion, they also call the church an "anti-Catholic and anti-Protestant movement". They think we hate Catholics and Protestants, they say the church is UNFAIR because the INC believe they are the only ones to saved and all are already destined or automatically will be in hell except INC members.

Are all these things TRUE?

FACT: NO. We dont hate Catholics and Protestants as individuals, we dont hate them just because they are affiliated with the Catholic Church and Protestant sects and denominations. The INC dont "attack" these churches, we are CORRECTING THEM using true infos, not like what they are doing to the INC. We believe we are in the TRUE CHURCH OF CHRIST, which Christ promised to be saved, but we dont have any doctrine that all nonmembers and all that did not became INC members will be automatically be in hell.

Let us finally know what we really believe and not by believing to misconceptions and wrong understandings of INC doctrines and teachings.

Here is the quoted statement from the pasugo magazine of the Iglesia ni Cristo unsurprisingly by MCGI of Mr. Soriano, jealous nonmembers spread it here in the internet to show to all the people that INC hates Catholics and Protestants:

English translation: "So at the end of this publication, we now ought to reject the catholic priests and the protestant pastors, for they are ministers of satan. We also ought to reject the Catholic Church and the different protestant churches, for they are not of God, but of satan or the devil " [INC publication Pasugo, August 1961, p. 39]."

This is the alleged PROOF that INC ministers teaches their members to HATE the Catholics and Protestants, which ARE NOT TRUE. They misinterpret what the author in the Pasugo Magazine wants to say to its readers. The minister said "they are not of God, but of satan or the devil", it is clear the author said they are OF THE DEVIL, and not THEY ARE DEVILS.

Question: Why the author said that? Is it intended to hurt the feelings of Catholics and Protestants? Is it for them to also hate us because they think that WE HATE them? Is it for us to have enemies?

ANSWER: NO. The minister have said that to express our beliefs, that we are to disagree that the Catholic Church and Protestant sects and denominations are teaching the whole truth, and that they lead their members on violating God's commandments. It is the very reason why the author have said those statements because he had already presented PROOFS why do we need to "reject" Catholic priests and Protestant pastors--> because they teach FALSE DOCTRINES AND TEACHINGS which are truly not OF GOD. When they teach UNBIBLICAL whatsoever, meaning those are NOT OF GOD and if they wanted you to do and believe were contrary to God's commandments, they are truly OF SATAN.

That's the interpretation of the statements came from the Pasugo, the minister did not said those to promote hatred, he did not said it because he wanted you to be angry to the INC, he did not said it without valid reasons and he did not said it just because he wanted to.

If it is said that "we now ought to reject the catholic priests and the protestant pastors," it does not LITERALLY mean that we are commanded to hate Catholic priests and protestant pastors as well as Catholics and Protestants, it only means that we should not let ourselves to be INFLUENCED with their false beliefs as what they teach and what they believe are contrary to the BIBLE.

The ministers and we INC members are not AGAINST with Catholics, Catholic priests, protestants and Protestant pastors as individuals or only because they are affiliated with the Catholic Church and Protestant sects/denominations, we are AGAINST to their unbiblical doctrines, teachings and practices.

In fact, without being asked, i really admire Catholic priests because they are good advisers and good speakers, i also have good impression with Protestant pastors because they are good speakers and story tellers. I also observed that active Born Again Christians are so kind and faithful while Jehovas witnesses are diligent when it comes to their evangelical activities. I am not pretending to have good impressions to them, because those are my observations.

INC members' friends are composed of mostly Catholics and Protestants, so if we really hate them we will not have friends who are affiliated with the Catholic Church and Protestant sects/denominations. We are still CHRISTIANS who believe in Christ, but the only problem with us is that we have different beliefs.

The INC DO NOT PROMOTE HATRED TO ANYBODY AND DO NOT TEACHES ITS MEMBERS TO HATE ANYONE. WE ARE NOT NEITHER ANTI-CATHOLICS NOR ANTI-PROTESTANTS. We are anti-unbiblical teachings, we are against false teachings but we are not against to any individuals.

There are TEACHINGS OF DEMONS, BIBLE said.

The bible had a pronouncement about those people who will follow doctrines of the devil and will follow seducing spirits:

"But the Spirit saith expressly, that in later times some shall fall away from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of demons, through the hypocrisy of men that speak lies, branded in their own conscience as with a hot iron; forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by them that believe and know the truth." I tim. 4:1-3

"Seducing spirits" are those who teaches the doctrines that came from the demons, they forbid others to marry and command them to abstain from meats.

In what church is this fulfilled?

“prohibiting priests to marry” is both discipline and a law upheld by the catholic church (The faith of our Fathers, p.401).
And...

“By the law of abstinence the church forbids us to eat either meat or soups or gravies made from meat, on all Friday’s in the year.” (a handbook of the catholic faith, p. 424)

Yes. It is fulfilled in the Catholic Church which the bible forewarned the people not to follow "doctrines of demons". Are these all prophesied? That the Catholic Church will teach unbiblical teachings and practices? Let us consult the bible:

"BUT ALSO [in those days] there arose false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among yourselves, who will subtly and stealthily introduce heretical doctrines (destructive heresies), even denying and disowning the Master Who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction." II pet. 2:1 (Amplified Bible)

The Catholic Church does have heretical doctrines and even denied and disowned their Master, who is our Lord Jesus Christ. They had changed the name of the church which Christ built:

“In 1870, at the Vatican Council, the name ‘Roman Catholic Church’ was proposed, but it was rejected. The bishops assembled unanimously decided upon this official name: ‘The Holy Catholic Apostolic Roman Church’” (Discourses on the Apsotle’s Creed, Rev. Clement Crock, p. 191)

and taught that the foundation of the Catholic Church is not Christ but Peter which is incorrect:

"This [Jesus] is the Stone which was despised and rejected by you, the builders, but which has become the Head of the corner [the Cornerstone]." Acts 4:11

"For God has already placed Jesus Christ as the one and only foundation, and no other foundation can be laid." 1 Corinthians 3:11

See? Are we wrong if we say the Catholic Church's doctrines are of SATAN? How about the Protestants, are they excluded on those churches who teaches false doctrines?

NO. Protestantism rooted from the Catholic Church when a Catholic Priest named Martin Luther protest against the Catholic Church. Some teachings of different Protestant sects and denominations came from the Catholic Church like the unbiblical doctrine Trinity, and most of their doctrines are invented as each of these churches have different beliefs because of different interpretations of the bible which is also incorrect.

How about the belief that we are the only group of people who will be saved by Christ? Is it unfair if we say we are the chosen ones? Does that already mean that we believe non INC members will automatically be in hell? Click here for the answer.

Conclusion: Nonmembers should not judge the INC and its members right away, they should not spread lies like we hate non INC members or we are anti-Catholic and anti-Protestants because these are not true and these are just misunderstanding of INC doctrines. We love them but we do not let ourselves to be influenced by their beliefs because we have known the truth.

We are not against everything catholic and everything protestant, like for ex. if the priest teach catholics to do good, we are not AGAINST to it, same with the protestants. What we are against are their false teachings and doctrines, please always remember that.

WE MAYBE ANTI-CATHOLIC DOCTRINES AND ANTI-PROTESTANT DOCTRINES BUT WE ARE NOT AND WILL NEVER BE ANTI-CATHOLICS AND ANTI-PROTESTANTS.
