"Ipaglaban mo nang puspusan ang pananampalataya. Panghawakan mong mabuti ang buhay na walang hanggan, dahil diyan ka tinawag ng Diyos nang ipahayag mo sa harap ng maraming saksi ang iyong pananalig kay Cristo." I Tim. 6:12

Make up images?

"And make two cherubim out of hammered gold at the ends of the cover. Make one cherub on one end and the second cherub on the other; make the cherubim of one piece with the cover, at the two ends. The cherubim are to have their wings spread upward, overshadowing the cover with them. The cherubim are to face each other, looking toward the cover." Exodus 25:18-20

"Then the Lord told him, “Make a replica of a
poisonous snake and attach it to a pole..." Numbers 21:8

These two verses were the evidence of others to prove that GOD COMMANDS HIS PEOPLE TO MADE SUCH IMAGES. And that it is okay to make such images/idols/statues because the cherubim and serpents were an example of the "likeness of anything that is in Heaven above or in the earth beneath, or of those things that are in the waters under the earth".

Let us examine.

First of all, The two were commanded by God to be MADE, not to be WORSHIP!

As on a Catholic book say:

“13. Is the worship of the saints confined to their persons?—No; it extends also their relics and images… 15. Ought we to worship holy images?-- We should have, particularly in our churches, images of our lord, as also of the blessed Virgin and the saints, and we should pay them due honor and veneration.” Catechism of Christian doctrine, no. 3, p. 87

The images of the cherubims served as decoration of the Ark of the Covenant and the Brazen Serpent served as sign for the Israelites who looked at it, after they were bitten by poisonous serpents and lived.

BUT, WHEN THE ISRAELITES BEGAN TO WORSHIP THE BRAZEN SERPENT AS AN IDOL, King Ezechias destroyed it!

Let us read II Kings 18:4,

"He removed the pagan shrines, smashed the sacred pillars, and cut down the Asherah poles. He broke up the bronze serpent that Moses had made, because the people of Israel had been offering sacrifices to it. The bronze serpent was called Nehushtan."

Therefore, the use of images of the Catholics is not biblically justified. All the reasons given by them of the use of it, that they say they do not worship those (images, statues and whatsoever) but still show that they are guilty of Idolatry, are devoid of truth. It is clear then, that the reason behind the denial of the CC regarding image-worship is to avoid any scrunity in the truth of the teaching about images, thus arresting exposure of its falsity.

However, by admitting that the Catholic Church does worship images, alleging that it is not binding upon Christians, she is consoling her members and telling them to remain in upholding what they practice, thus, intending to decieve Catholics for the alleged good.

For this reason, what does God command those who worship images, especially the Catholics?

"The temple of God cannot have any agreement with idols, and we are the temple of the living God. As God said: I will live with them and walk with them. And I will be their God, and they will be my people. Leave those people, and be separate, says the Lord. Touch nothing that is unclean, and I will accept you. I will be your father, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty." II Cor. 6:16-18

God commands them to separate from those images and come out of the church or religion to which they belong. If they do so, God promises to be a father to them and they shall be his children. Let us face the truth, and let us find the true Church built by Christ! Let us worship God in spirit and in truth, not in GRAVEN IMAGES!
