I Tim. 6:12

Trending Now: Iglesia ni Cristo World Wide Walk

Talaga?

Eto ang balita sa gmanetwork.com:

An ecological group on Saturday lauded the Iglesia ni Cristo for keeping its charity walk for survivors of super Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) clean.

The EcoWaste Coalition said it was "delighted" to see the route of the charity walk "devoid of unsightly and filthy trash."

"We commend the organizers and participants for manifesting their solidarity  with the victims in an earth-friendly way.  Luneta was litter-free as it should be," said coordinator Aileen Lucero.

She added there was no stench in the area that indicated people may have relieved themselves on the walls.

Last January, devotees of the Black Nazarene were criticized for littering the route of the traslacion (procession) and some were chided for relieving themselves on walls.

"We hope other faith and non-faith groups conducting outdoor events will follow suit and ensure that the surroundings are kept clean and tidy as they gather for fun, leisure, politics or worship," Lucero said.

Show of force? Pakitang tao?

Ayaw mong maniwala? Sige simulan mo na magbilang:

Recorded 7am

Eto pa sabi sa balita:

"As of 10 a.m., Police Senior Supt. Gilbert Cruz of the Manila Police District estimated at 1.5 million the number of participants who occupied the whole stretch of Roxas Boulevard in Manila. He said the number was a “conservative” estimate, as people continued to stream into the area.
However, not all of those who went there were considered participants; only those who were able to get wristbands qualified."

"Chief Senior Superintendent Gilbert Cruz, directorial staff of the MPD, said no untoward incident in connection with the event was monitored.

With the total closure of a stretch of Roxas Boulevard and several adjacent streets, the volume of traffic in Manila yesterday was lighter than expected. Classes in affected areas in Manila were suspended yesterday.
Chief Inspector Olivia Sagaysay, head of Manila’s traffic police, likened the flow of vehicles to that of a “regular day.”

Iglesia ni Cristo's World Wide Walk broke two world records!

Iglesia ni Cristo's World Wide Walk broke two world records namely "Largest Charity Walk in a single event" with 175, 409 participants vs. Singapore's 77,500 participants and "Largest charitable walk in 24 hours (multiple venue)" with 519,521 participants in 135 sites vs. Canada's 231,635 participants in 1,011 sites.

Kristy Bennet, Guinness' representative said:

“I cannot stress enough the commitment, organization, and passion required to achieve a record of this magnitude.  Like all records set by Guinness World Record, there are extremely strict criteria and guidelines that need to be followed.  That is why when a title like this is given, it is a huge achievement.”

The purpose of the event is to raise funds for the typhoon Yolanda victims, for the continuing support from the church and for the world's awareness for the Yolanda survivors, because there are still millions of Filipinos who needs help.

But behind these world records, the most important thing is the attention for the needy, to help them rebuild their lives.

Iglesia ni Cristo World Wide Walk

The Iglesia ni Cristo will hold an event called "World Wide Walk (for those affected by typhoon Yolanda)" on Saturday, February 15, 2014. It will be held in major cities around the world: 6 in Europe, 7 in Australia, 8 in Asia, 34 in U.S.A and 85 in the Philippines. In total, the event will be held in 27 countries and across 13 time zones

Everyone needs a 1.6 km walk to be counted as "walker". The organizers are eyeing for a world record, currently, "The New Paper Big Walk 2000" in Singapore holds the record for the LARGEST CHARITY WALK which had 77,500 participants.

Members and would-be-members of the church are welcome to join, the registration fee is P250 and will get a printed t-shirt which will be used in the event.

The purpose of this event is to continuously help those typhoon Yolanda victims, especially on the planned construction of homes for the victims, but INC members as the priority.

Traffic Advisory

Expect heavy traffic near the sites where the event will take place. The church already ask for cooperation from MMDA and other government agencies for traffic management. There will be closed roads and re-routing. The event has been announcement weeks before, so that people will be aware for them to avoid heavy traffic.

Bomb threat

Just a week ago, Officials of the Catholic Faith Defender behind the anti-INC fanpage called "Exposing the Iglesia ni Cristo Cult of Manalo" made a bomb threat:

But then, an admin of the fanpage which is also a CFD is claiming that his account was used by another person by posting the bomb threat into the fanpage, accusing Iglesia ni Cristo members:

After realizing the truth, the said admin Gabriel Darwin Lopez apologized claiming that it is their co-admin CFD who is behind the bomb threat:

According to our law:
