"Ipaglaban mo nang puspusan ang pananampalataya. Panghawakan mong mabuti ang buhay na walang hanggan, dahil diyan ka tinawag ng Diyos nang ipahayag mo sa harap ng maraming saksi ang iyong pananalig kay Cristo." I Tim. 6:12

Who's truly "Born Again"?

-->“Are you a Born Again Christian?”
This is a common question asked by many religious groups today professing to be Christian. It may appear, at face value, to be but a simple, innocent question rooted only in curiosity.

However, the question itself bears significant implications.

Why? There are preachers today whose teaching leads others to conclude that one must wear the title “Born Again” upon himself so as to be considered a Christian, and thus be worthy to attain coveted salvation offered by our Lord Jesus Christ.

This led some to merely search out groups that use the phrase “Born Again” believing that if affiliated with such group, their salvation is secured. But, is that so? Is joining any group whose members simply call themselves “Born Again” a guarantee of salvation? Is being born again just a change in a person’s way of life, or there are more involved?

These are some very important questions that one must ask before embracing a group declaring itself to be “Born Again”.

Being Born Again

First, does the expression itself have any biblical basis? It was no less than our lord Jesus Christ who spoke it in a conversation he had with Nicodemus:

"Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a member of the Jewish ruling council. He came to Jesus at night and said, "Rabbi, we know you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the miraculous signs you are doing if God were not with him." In reply Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again." John 3:1-3

It can be easily gleaned from this conversation that our lord Jesus Christ gave much importance to being born again and that it has direct relevance to one’s attaining eternal life. However, just as so many still today, Nicodemus misunderstood the declaration of the savior. He asked Jesus:

"How can a man be born when he is old?" Nicodemus asked. "Surely he cannot enter a second time into his mother's womb to be born!"Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit." John 3:4-5

Clearly, Nicodemus misunderstood and was corrected by our lord Jesus Christ. Jesus went on to explain that being born again meant being born of water and spirit. The question that people must then ask themselves with a religious group that has for themselves a title of being “Born Again” or not, but rather if they have been born of water and spirit or not.

How can a person determine if he has yet undergone such a rebirth via water and spirit?

The water and spirit

Which are the water and the spirit one is to be born of? Jesus spoke of the water, not as that which would only quench a literal thirst:

"Jesus answered, "Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life." John 4:13-14

If it is not a literal water that will quench one’s thirst being referred to, but rather a water that will bring one eternal life, what then is being referred to as the eternal life-giving rather that leads one to become born again?

"For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God." I pet 1:23

It is the word of God that will lead a person to become truly born again, not merely a self-proclamation. There is a process one must undergo, which begins with the cleansing power of the words of God.

If that is what is meant by being born of water, what about the expression of Jesus when he mentioned that one must also be born of the spirit so as to be born again? Who is the spirit of which one must be born? Our lord Jesus Christ teaches:

"God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth." John 4:24

The bible teaches us that god is spirit. Thus, to be born again, one must be born of God and of his words. If not, one would only be laying claim to a position of being born again but without sound biblical basis for such claim.

Undergoing rebirth

The bible teaches us how the process of becoming born anew takes place.

Apostle Paul taught:

"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." II Cor. 5:17

What takes place is a complete rebirth or the making of a new creation, according to apostle paul? If a person has not undergone this process of renewal, he could not truly born again.

So, who have become a new creation? Are they those who have merely made such a claim for themselves? No. According to Apostle Paul, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature”. The Apstle identified those who are “in Christ”, thus:

"For he himself is our peace, who has made the two one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, by abolishing in his flesh the law with its commandments and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new man out of the two, thus making peace," Eph. 2:14-15

The new creation or those who are truly born again, therefore, are those who became part of the “one new man” which is composed of two parts. Anyone who wishes to be reborn or born again must be brought into the one new man by God through his words. It cannot be done by self declaration or only by affiliating oneself with a group that merely calls itself “Born Again”.

What are the two parts of the one new man which we are to become part of?

"And he is the head of the body, the church;...". Col. 1:18

The two parts of the one new man are Christ as head and the Church, his body. Which Church is Christ head of? It is the Church that carries his name—the Church of Christ:

"Take heed therefore to yourselves and to all the flock over which the Holy Spirit has appointed you overseers, to feed the church of Christ which he has purchased with his blood." Acts 20:28 Lamsa Translation

All truly born again Christians, therefore, are those who have undergone the process of becoming a member of the true Church of Christ. They have been born of the spirit, born of God, or born of his word; therefore they have been added as parts of the one new man composed of a head and a body. They are in the body of Christ or Church of Christ.

Membership in the true Church of Christ is therefore necessary for one to become a true born again Christian. One question people should ask themselves is whether they are in the true Church headed by Christ.

Complete renewal is needed

But is entering the Church of Christ the only thing needed so as to be truly born again? No. The renewal of one’s life is an important requirement in the process as well. As mentioned by Apostle Paul in the verse quoted earlier, “the old things have passed away” (II Cor. 5:17).

The ways of life that must be left behind by anyone becoming part of the Lord’s body or Church were described also by Apostle Paul, thus:

"throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes." Eph. 4:22-23

The apostle also taught the church about what happens to the former self of a person once he becomes part of the new creation or is truly born again. It dies and is buried:

"Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life." Rom. 6:3-4

Jesus taught that we need to be born again to receive eternal life. We must therefore not resist the correct process of becoming truly “born again”.

The bible does not show any shortcuts. One becomes a born-again Christian by becoming a member of the true Church of Christ and by living a life in accordance with the will of God.

Inquisition in the "TRUE CHURCH"?

The Pope apologized for the Catholic Church's past mistakes...

On march 12,2000, John Paul II, made a historic feat when he asked forgiveness for his church’s sins through the centuries. Speaking after the ceremony to the crowd in St. Peter’s Basilica, he acknowledged the past misdeeds committed in the name of Catholicism:

In calling for a church-wide purification of memory, john paul acknowledged the mistakes and cruelty imbedded in church history, including the INQUISITION, the FORCED CONVERSIONS OF NATIVE PEOPLES IN AFRICA, AND LATIN AMERICA, AND SUPPORT OF THE CRUSADES, WHOSE VICTIMS INCLUDED JEWS, MUSLIMS, AND MEMBERS OF THE EASTERN ORTHODOX CHURCH.” Today. March 15, 2000
One of the errors of the Roman Catholic Church is the creation of the Inquisition in the 13th century, through which anyone who refused to accept Catholic Church’s doctrine was tortured to death. The Pope’s apology echoes what other Catholic authors such as John A. O’Brien had straightforwardly written several years ago:

“The church cannot escape the responsibility for the use of torture nor for the burning of victims at the stake… we frankly acknowledge the responsibility of the popes in the use of torture and in the burning of thousands of heretics at the stake. Their sanctioning of such cruel and brutal measures is unquestionably one of the blackest stains on the record of the Holy Office and will remain to the end of time a cause of obloquy and shame upon the papacy.” The truth about the Inquisition

Is there any warning in the bible according these?

"Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.” Mt. 7:15

“I know that after I leave, savage wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock.” Acts 20:29

FORCED CONVERSION TO CATHOLICISM

“The forced conversions of Jews in the Middle Ages and the history of anti-Semitism (despite official condemnations of both by church leaders) are evidence that the antithesis could easily overshadow the affirmation. The fateful loss of continuity with Judaism has, however, never been total. Above all, the presence of so many elements of Judaism in the Christian Bible has acted to remind Christians that he whom they worshiped as their Lord was himself a Jew, and that the New Testament did not stand on its own but was appended to the Old.”

“Also distinct from the medieval Inquisition, the Spanish Inquisition was established with papal approval in 1478 at the request of King Ferdinand V and Queen Isabella I. This Inquisition was to deal with the problem of Marranos, Jews who through coercion or social pressure had insincerely converted to Christianity; after 1502, it turned its attention to similar converts from Islam, and in the 1520s to persons suspected of Protestantism.” MSN ENCARTA

THE INQUISITION

What is an Inquisition?

"An "Inquisition" is a legal inquiry. Historically there were three major Catholic Inquisitions. The Medieval Inquisition started around 1184 in response to the appearance of popular heretical movements throughout Europe, in particular Catharism and Waldensians in southern France and northern Italy. In 1478 Pope Sixtus IV reluctantly authorized the Spanish Inquisition under pressure from King Ferdinand of Aragon.
Initially it investigated charges against Jewish and Muslim converts to Christianity of secretly practicing their former religions. It acted under the control of the kings of Spain. The early excesses of the Spanish Inquisition were condemned by Popes Sixtus IV, Leo X, Paul III and Paul IV. The Roman Inquisition began in 1542 when Pope Paul III established the Holy Office as the final court of appeal in trials of heresy and served as an important part of the Counter-Reformation. It was tightly controlled by strict procedural rules but was made infamous by the trial of Galileo."

“Rulers of the Temporal world"
At the dawn of the second millennium Europe was slowly emerging from the blackness and ignorance of the Dark Ages. There were no nations and the people were loyal only to their immediate community and to God. The keeper of God's word was the Catholic Church, the only religion in all of Christendom. The supreme religious leader, the Pope in Rome, crowned the Kings who became rulers of the Holy Roman Empire stretching from Sicily north to Poland. The Emperor was ruler of the temporal world while the Pope and his Bishops reigned supreme over the Spiritual world.
Craks begin appearing
By the 12th and 13th century, cracks began appearing in this ordered world. Emperors no longer submitted to being crowned by the Pope and across Europe Kings demanded the right to select their own Bishops. But for the Pope the most terrifying threat came from upstart Christian sects who challenged church doctrine and the absolute power of the Roman Pope. To preserve the purity of the faith and the unquestioned authority of the Pope, the Church began to crack down on all dissenting with a new weapon: the Inquisition. For over half a millennium a system of mass terror reigned. Thousands were subject to secret courts, torture and punishment.”

How many people were killed in the Inquisition?
"There were two major Inquisitions, the Medieval Inquisition and Spanish Inquisition. Although there are no exact numbers, scholars believe they have estimated Inquisition deaths reasonably accurately. There were not as many deaths as the popular press claims. Numbers have often been inflated to as high as 9 million by the popular press, with absolutely no scholarly research. This figure is completely erroneous.
A broad range of scholars, many of whom were not Catholic, have carefully studied the Inquisitions. They looked at all the existing records and were able to extrapolate. In the Medieval Inquisition, Bernard Gui was one of the most notorious of the medieval inquisitors. (so much so that the sick modern pornography industry has turned him into a hero). He tried 930 people out of which 42 were executed (4.5%). Another famous Inquisitor was Jacques Fournier who tried 114 cases of which 5 were executed (4.3%). Using numbers that are known, scholars have been able to surmise that approximately 2,000 people died in the Medieval Inquisition. (1231-1400 AD)
According to public news reports the book's editor, Prof. Agostino Borromeo, stated that about 125,000 persons were investigated by the Spanish Inquisition, of which 1.8% were executed (2,250 people). Most of these deaths occurred in the first decade and a half of the Inquisition's 350 year history. In Portugal of the 13,000 tried in the 16th and early 17th century 5.7% were said to have been condemned to death. News articles did not report if Portugal's higher percentage included those sentenced to death in effigy (i.e. an image burnt instead of the actual person).
For example, historian Gustav Henningsen reported that statistical tabulations of 50,000 recorded cases tried by nineteen Spanish tribunals between 1540-1700 found 775 people (1.7%) were actually executed while another 700 (1.4%) were sentenced to death in effigy ("El 'banco de datos' del Santo Oficio: Las relaciones de causas de la Inquisición española, 1550-1700", BRAH, 174, 1977). Jewish historian Steven Katz remarked on the Medieval Inquisition that "in its entirety, the thirteenth and fourteenth century Inquisition put very few people to death and sent few people to prison; 90 percent of its sentences were canonical penances" (The Holocaust in Historical Context, 1994).
During the high point of the Spanish Inquisition from 1478-1530 AD, scholars found that approximately 1,500-2,000 people were found guilty. From that point forward, there are exact records available of all "guilty" sentences which amounted to 775 executions. In the full 200 years of the Spanish Inquisition, less than 1% of the population had any contact with it, people outside of the major cities didn't even know about it. The Inquisition was not applied to Jews or Moslems, unless they were baptised as Christians.
If we add the figures, we find that the entire Inquisition of 500 years, caused about 6,000 deaths. These atrocities are completely inexcusable. These numbers are however, a far cry from the those used in the popular press by people who are always looking to destroy the Church. This is about 20% of the number of war related deaths that have occurred in Afghanistan and Iraq in the 2 years since the US responded to 9/11.
Another thing to note is that the Spanish Inquisition, in a wrong way, may have saved some lives. In many European countries in the 16th century, religious wars were the cause of tens of thousands of deaths. But in Spain, there was political and religious unity as a result of the Inquisition, and there was no such war.
Nevertheless, the Inquisition tortures and death were inexcusable. I echo the voice of John Paul II "Forgive us Lord, Never Again"

The original belief of the early christians to Jesus

Most Christians does not believe that Christ is not God. They thought that the belief of the early christians about Christ is that he is a God incarnated: a God and a human.

But if we will just examine the bible and history, we will understand that what Iglesia ni cristo teaches about Christ is the true and original belief of the early Christians.

Let us read some books regarding this:

George Eldon Ladd, a protestant bible scholar says:

“… The early Christian concept of jesus was that of man who was mightily endowed by the spirit of god.” The young Church

Ronald J. Wilkins, a catholic priest says:

“… The apostles and the early Christians did not experience jesus as god in human disguise or as god pretending to be human (this is one reason that the early church rejected fanciful and wildly imaginative accounts of jesus’ life). They experienced him as a human. He was so real in his life, so genuinely human in his spirit, and so convincing in his words that they believed in him. They felt that whatever human life really was, Jesus as a person expressed that life.”  The emerging church, part one

Bernard Lohse, a historian says:

“… As one church historian, Bernard Lohse, writes Motive in Glauben (Motivation of belief): ‘Arius reminds us that jesus, as he described in the gospels, was not a god who walked this earth, but truly a human being. Of course, by his very humanity, jesus proved his full community with God. ’” The Jesus establishment

Others...

“We read gospels and the book of acts in the light of our understanding of the pre-existence and the incarnation of god the son. However, the early Christians had no such concepts in their minds. They had no doctrine of the deity of Christ…” The young church: Acts of the apostles

“Jesus was not called God in those early days…” New testament Commentary

“The crisis grows out of a fact now freely admitted by both Protestant and Catholic theologians and exegetes: that as far as can be discerned from the available historical data, jesus of Nazareth did not think he was devine…” The first coming: How the kingdom of God became Christianity

“Jesus never claims to be god, personally…” Honest to god

“It was when Christianity spread out into pagan world that the idea of jesus as a savior God emerged.” The meaning of the dead Sea scrolls

“The earliest post-New testament writers, known as the Apostolic fathers, continued the development that had emerged in the later new testament period of calling Jesus God. Ignatius of Antioch, writing in the second century to the Ephesians, declares, ‘Jesus Christ our God was conceived of Mary’ (Eph 18:2) and ‘God was now appearing in human form’ (Eph 19:3)” Word Become Flesh

“The council could not agree and after two years, impatient at the delay, the emperor Constantine appeared and addressed the assembly, ordering them to agree on the divinity of Christ…” Challenge of a liberal Faith

“When constantine picked out and convened the 318 bishops for the council, the background was pure power politics, religious concerns taking very much of a backseat. Even the Charismatic bishops can have been in no doubt about that, for not only did the emperor preside over the council, he also expressly proclaimed that his will was ecclesiastical law. The senior pastors accepted him as ‘universal bishop’, even though he was uncrowned, and let him take part in votes on church dogma as a secular prince.” Miracles of the Gods

“Once this “Nicene Creed” had been publicly signed by all the bishops and promulgated by Constantine, it became the official creed for all Christians. To deny the divinity of outside of the Christian community and was a crime against the state.” The emerging Church: Part one

Let us now consult the BIBLE concerning Jesus and God, the Father:

Apostle Paul says:

“There is one God and one mediator so that human beings can reach God. That way is through Christ Jesus, who is himself human.” I tim. 2:5
Apostle peter says:

“People of Israel, listen to these words: Jesus from Nazareth was a very special man. God clearly showed this to you by the miracles, wonders, and signs he did through Jesus. You all know this, because it happened right here among you.23 Jesus was given to you, and with the help of those who don't know the law, you put him to death by nailing him to a cross. But this was God's plan which he had made long ago; he knew all this would happen.” Acts 2:22-23

Apostle Matthew says:

“This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about. His mother Mary was engaged to marry Joseph, but before they married, she learned she was pregnant by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Matt. 1:18
Jesus Christ himself says:

“I am a man who has told you the truth which I heard from God, but you are trying to kill me. Abraham did nothing like that.” John 8:40

Now its clear, the bible teaches us that Jesus is a MAN and not God, he is a man but not an ordinary man, but doesnt mean he is God. If we read the bible from cover to cover, Jesus NEVER CLAIMED that he is God, the God in the OLD TESTAMENT and the GOD in NEW TESTAMENT did not change, its the same, the God of the Jews, Abraham, the Apostles, Jesus Christ and the early Christians, it is no doubt, it is the ONLY ONE TRUE GOD, THE FATHER.

Catholic Saints

The Church of Christ believes in the “saints” mentioned in the bible and not the “saints” defined by the catholics.

The term “saint” is defined by Catholics as:

“A title of Christ recognized by the church, either traditionally or by formal canonization, as being in heaven and thus worthy of honor.” New Catholic encyclopedia

As such “saints” are believed by the catholics to be in heaven, acting as “intercessors with god for the living and for souls in purgatory.”

The bible teaches however, that with the exception of our Lord jesus Christ who was resurrected by God and ascended to heaven, the holy who have passed away are not yet in heaven. The scriptures teaches that the dead lie in the grave (Ps. 88:5) and that the “soul clings to the dust” (Ps. 119:25).

The holy do not ascend to heaven after their death. For instance, david, whom the scriptures teaches as holy (Ps. 86:2), did not ascend to heaven after his death:

“Brothers and sisters, I can tell you truly that David, our ancestor, died and was buried. His grave is still here with us today. David was not the one who was lifted up to heaven, but he said: 'The Lord said to my Lord, "Sit by me at my right side,” Acts 2:29, 34

The dead will remain lying in their graves and will rise only when the heavens are no more (Job 14:10-12), that is, on judgment day (II Pt. 3:10, 7). Only then will the holy or those who are worthy of salvation enter the kingdom of heaven (Mt. 25:31-34). The belief that the so-called “saints” are already in heaven is therefore unscriptural.

The Catholic definition of and doctrine about saints as “intercessors with god for the living and for souls in purgatory” also contradicts the biblical teaching that there is but one intercessor or mediator between God and men, The lord jesus Christ (I Tim. 2:5).

Moreover, bible mentions nothing about purgatory, nor are there souls in such realm (Ps. 119:25; Mt. 25:31-34). The dead who will be condemned and even those who will be rewarded will both come from the grave, not from purgatory:

“Don't be surprised at this: A time is coming when all who are dead and in their graves will hear his voice. Then they will come out of their graves. Those who did good will rise and have life forever, but those who did evil will rise to be judged guilty.” Jn. 5:28-29

The bible truly mentions of men who are saints. Apostle Paul said:

“unto the church of God which is at Corinth, even them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ in every place, their Lord and ours: ” I Cor. 1:2

The saints whom the bible refers to in the preceding verse are those who have been sanctified through the sacrifice of Christ (Heb. 10:10) or by his blood (Heb. 9:14). The holy scriptures attests that the church of Christ was the one purchased by Christ’s blood:

“Take heed therefore to yourselves and to all the flock over which the holy spirit has appointed you overseers, to feed the church of Christ which he has purchased with his own blood” Acts 20:28, Lamsa translation

Clearly then, those who have been sanctified or made holy by the blood of Christ, called by the bible as saints, are the members of the church of Christ. The term “saint” therefore denotes the characteristic of those who were redeemed by Christ’s blood. It is in this context that we recognized the apostles, being preachers in the church of Christ, as saints.

Nevertheless, we do not attach the term “saint” as an honorific to each of their names when we address each of them so as not to be misinterpreted that we consider them “saints” in the Catholics’ sense. For the same reason, members of the church of Christ do not use the term “saint” as a title attached to their names.

______________________________

The verses above were the alleged “proofs” of others to prove that Jesus is God only because made miracles. I got those verses in a catholic website entitled "JESUS MIRACLES TESTIFY THAT HE IS GOD

Were Christ's miracles a big EVIDENCE that he is god?

Well, lets find it out...

But wait, let us know first who are those people who made some miracles also:

Apostle peter
- But Peter sent them all out and knelt down and prayed, and turning to the body, he said, " Tabitha, arise." And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter, she sat up. And he gave her his hand and raised her up; and calling the saints and widows, he presented her alive. It became known all over Joppa, and many believed in the Lord. acts 9:40-42

- Now Peter and John were going up to the temple at the ninth hour, the hour of prayer. And a man who had been lame from his mother's womb was being carried along, whom they used to set down every day at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, in order to beg alms of those who were entering the temple. When he saw Peter and John about to go into the temple, he began asking to receive alms. But Peter, along with John, fixed his gaze on him and said, "Look at us!" And he began to give them his attention, expecting to receive something from them. But Peter said, "I do not possess silver and gold, but what I do have I give to you: In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene--walk!" And seizing him by the right hand, he raised him up; and immediately his feet and his ankles were strengthened. With a leap he stood upright and began to walk; and he entered the temple with them, walking and leaping and praising God. acts 3:1-8

Apostle Paul
- And there was a young man named Eutychus sitting on the window sill, sinking into a deep sleep; and as Paul kept on talking, he was overcome by sleep and fell down from the third floor and was picked up dead. But Paul went down and fell upon him, and after embracing him, he said, "Do not be troubled, for his life is in him." When he had gone back up and had broken the bread and eaten, he talked with them a long while until daybreak, and then left. They took away the boy alive, and were greatly comforted. acts 20:9-12

- God was performing extraordinary miracles by the hands of Paul, so that handkerchiefs or aprons were even carried from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out. acts 19:11-12

Elijah
- Now it came about after these things that the son of the woman, the mistress of the house, became sick; and his sickness was so severe that there was no breath left in him. So she said to Elijah, "What do I have to do with you, O man of God? You have come to me to bring my iniquity to remembrance and to put my son to death!" He said to her, "Give me your son." Then he took him from her bosom and carried him up to the upper room where he was living, and laid him on his own bed. He called to the LORD and said, "O LORD my God, have You also brought calamity to the widow with whom I am staying, by causing her son to die?" Then he stretched himself upon the child three times, and called to the LORD and said, "O LORD my God, I pray You, let this child's life return to him. "The LORD heard the voice of Elijah, and the life of the child returned to him and he revived. Elijah took the child and brought him down from the upper room into the house and gave him to his mother; and Elijah said, "See, your son is alive." I kings 17:17-23

Who else?

There is Bernabe, Moses, Elisha and etc.

If others believe that Jesus is God only because he made some miracles, how about those people also MADE MIRACLES? Are we ready to accept that these people are also Gods?

You know, we should notice that before they make some miracles, they pray to God first, and in that case, we will learn that power was from God and not of them.

Let’s read john 11:41-44, a scenario when Christ does a miracle:

“So they removed the stone then Jesus raised His eyes, and said, "Father, I thank you that you have heard me.”I knew that you always hear me; but because of the people standing around I said it, so that they may believe that you sent me."
When He had said these things, He cried out with a loud voice, "Lazarus, come forth." The man who had died came forth, bound hand and foot with wrappings, and his face was wrapped around with a cloth. Jesus said to them, "Unbind him, and let him go."

The question is this, why did Jesus Christ pray to god?
It is stated in John 5:30 that Jesus Christ declared:

I can do nothing on My own initiative As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is just, because I do not seek My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.

Therefore, even if Jesus did miracles, it is all because he was made an instrument of God to do those things. Let’s read acts 2:22 to support this:

“Men of Israel, listen to these words: Jesus the Nazarene, a man attested to you by God with miracles and wonders and signs which God performed through Him in your midst, just as you yourselves know--”

It is therefore that "Jesus' miracles" DOES NOT TESTIFY THAT HE IS GOD.
